Sweetheart, you light my world. Before you was a lone firefly in an empty night sky, teetering, methodically flickering like a light bulb in a struggle to remain illuminated, all the while spiraling out of control. Performing the typical dance of his forefathers, endless search for one to share the passion at any frequency. There was only one thing I could never have expected, to find someone who not only resonate at the same frequency, but who emitted a more refined, more beautiful frequency. The person who could make that flicker a steady glow, while understanding and embracing the eternal dance with balance that is my life. All is well and good with the flowery summertime imagery and metaphors, but aside from all the bullshit. My life has been a path entangled in confusion, and listless yearning for the place I’m supposed to be, the person I need to be. I had begun to lose hope, that there was a place for me, that is until I fell into her arms. I never thought of myself as a typical family guy, a house, a wife, a couple of kids, a complacent idea to a life so devoted to discovery and knowledge. All labels aside my curiosity is for life, a life with the girl I love. I’ve never considered married life with another person only because it’s always seemed like a love story. I love her more than anything, I can now say I’ve considered a happy life.

"There is magic in long-distance friendships. They let you relate to other human beings in a way that goes beyond being physically together and is often more profound."

“The remarkable thing is that we really do love our neighbor as ourselves. We do into others as we do unto ourselves. We hate others when we hate ourselves. We are tolerant towards others when we are tolerant towards ourselves. We forgive others when we forgive ourselves.” -Eric Hoffer
Today, consider how love, tolerance, and forgiveness for yourself would change your relationship with the world.
